Bryan Hasling

Bryan helps folks plan for retirement and reach financial independence on their terms. He is a CFP® professional.

In addition to custom portfolio design, he helps clients navigate their finances around complex topics related to their company-stock (RSUs, ESPP) and options (ISOs, NQSOs).

Prior to joining Modern, he was a Partner at a top Wealth Management firm in the SF Bay Area. He worked with affluent families and executives & founders in the tech sector.

In 2022, he was named to InvestmentNews’ 40 under 40 class, an honor given to the top thought-leaders in the industry.  He graduated from Texas Tech Financial Planning, widely regarded as the nation’s top program.

Bryan and his wife live in Fort Worth, TX: where livin’ is a little slower, sun is warmer, and brunches with mothers are more frequent.

Yulia Petrovsky

Yulia is a financial planner based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Prior to transitioning to financial planning, Yulia spent 10 years in the tax world working with high net worth business owners, tech professionals, and their families.

Yulia's dual expertise as both a CPA and CFP® makes her a particularly valuable resource when it comes to tax-intensive subjects such as equity compensation.

In 2020, Yulia joined forces with Mike at Modern Financial Planning. She takes a holistic approach to her clients' financial well-being. This includes equity compensation and tax planning, investment and retirement strategies, insurance coverage, estate planning, and navigating the unexpected twists and turns that life inevitably presents.

Mike Troxell

Mike is a financial planner and investment advisor serving tech-industry clients nationwide.

Prior to starting the firm in 2018, Mike worked at a San Francisco-based $5 billion wealth management firm. Before getting into financial planning, Mike prepared tax returns at a SF CPA firm.

Mike was named to Investopedia’s 100 Top Financial Advisors in 2022 and 2023.

Mike also has served on the executive board for the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco and has been quoted in publications such as CNN, Huffington Post, and InvestmentNews.

He graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Mike lives with his wife, Jet, and four children.
